Alvari is a Dutch-American artist who was born in Brussels and grew up in New York. He had to live in his car for a number of years, but has now become a well-known street artist. "Every kid who lives in the suburbs can identify with the culture of graffiti. It's not an antisocial thing, a clan or a drug thing. It's the first key a person has to tell the world: listen, I exist."
